AURORA is the third film in the 10 Around the World Travel Films series by Night Bird Films. Inspired by the rediscovery of herself and her origins, the director is finally ready to explore this mysterious continent that is South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina). The word AURORA means, you guessed it, "dawn". This metaphor is a nod to openness to the other, to awakening; Indeed, the director brings reflections on the judgment of difference and the other from the time of pre-Columbian civilizations to today in South America. You will discover this continent literally in a new light; beyond popular prejudices and doubts, while marveling at the richness of South American culture and landscapes.

In 2017, REPÈRES, a film about Canada by Films Oiseau de nuit, was released. Since its release, the director of Bromont has worked tirelessly to find the best places to add to the film AURORA. Obviously, exceptional and unmissable places like Machu Picchu and the Nazcas lines in Peru; the Salar d'Uyuni and the Oruro Carnival in Bolivia; the Amazon rainforest and the Cotopaxi Volcano in Ecuador; the Cafayate region and the Iguazu Falls in Argentina, the city of Medellin and the Tatacoa Desert in Colombia are some of the most beautiful images in the new feature film. Through her research, she will also make you dream of the Fortress of Kuelap, the Sarcophagi of Karajia, the sacred valley of the Incas, the Oasis of Huacachina, El Dorado ...; you will discover a pre-Inca necropolis, South American festivals and popular games, reflect on Pablo Escobar ...; it will make you tremble with terror on the Death Road and in the hollows of Cerro Rico, mountain of Bolivian miners who eats living men ... You will meet authentic and eccentric artists from Ecuador, you will be guided during a visit to production of fair-trade coffee, meet the ancestors of the Shuars, these head reducers ... You will go on a road trip in the Bolivian outback, see what the great metropolises of South America look like: Lima, Cuzco, Quito, Bogota, Buenos Aires!

The director, Mimi Tremblay, introduces you to AURORA.
